12/27/2013 - Winding up the year 2013 Alan Merrill has had an interview
air on BBC4 in England called
"American Rock Anthems"
where he talks
about writing and perfoming the original version of
"I Love Rock N Roll"
in 1975. The show airs in the UK Dec.on the 26th and 27th. Apart from
showing a bit of the first version of the song "I Love Rock N Roll" the
show aired a clip of the Arrows doing their 1975 hit "My Last Night With
You" with lead vocals by Alan Merrill as always with that band. Ending
the month he'll be playing in New York City, electric shows with his
trio at the
R Bar
on Dec. 26th and at
Nancy Lee's
(1540 2nd Ave between
80 and 81st street, NYC) on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31st from 11PM to 2AM.
Last but not least Alan has been recording at
Jon Gordon's studio in
Manhattan this month as well. A new solo EP. Release will probably be
in February 2014.
10/20/2013 - This month Alan Merrill's composition
"I
Love Rock N Roll"
is featured in a new Sony Walkman television commerciain Japan. It
started airing the first week off October. As always Alan is playing
solo acoustic shows and electric. This month outdoors at
The Gardens.

backed show which has been relocated to the
Dublin Castle venue in
Camden N1 London England. Alan Merrill's song bringing awareness to
the dangers of anorexia nervosa and bulimia
"Only 19" is new on youtube
this month, dedicated to the memory of the late Bethaney Anne Wallace
a young fashion model who sadly passed away as a result of the disorder
May, 2012.
9/21/2013 - This month Alan Merrill's classic composition
"I Love Rock
N Roll" is sung in a new Honda television commercial. It started airing
Sept. 20th in the USA. As always Alan is playing solo acoustic shows at
the No Malice
Palace and outdoors at
The Gardens
and with his electric
trio at the
trendy R Bar.

8/26/2013 - This month Alan Merrill has been busy mainly writing his
autobiography but also performing at
BB King's
Times Square NYC and
co hosting
the Rew and Who show.

4/24/2013 - Most important news, Alan did a major three hour interview with an English television crew in New York for broadcast in the UK in the autumn of 2013. Also the Alan Merrill Trio played a fun show including his Arrows chart hits at the Branded Saloon hosted by Rew Starr, April 20th 2013.- more rough phone-cam clips film clips here from the show. Alan also sang a couple of electrifying guest spots with Jon Paris Group at BB King's this month. Alan Merrill has recorded a romantic ballad titled "Who In The World" on

3/24/2013 - This month the Alan Merrill trio played a fun show at Le Crunch glam rock night in Brooklyn at The Flat venue hosted by Josh Styles, March 9th 2013.- Film clips here from the show. Alan will also be playing several more local shows in the New York City area this month including a return to the Branded Saloon in Brooklyn. Part two of the interview recorded in England in Jan 2013 with St Paul's Lifestyle is on line now. Also Alan Merrill has re-recorded the classic rock song "Fooling Myself" on his new album Songer Singwriter (2013), originally (written by Alan Merrill and Steve Gould) recorded by the band Runner (1978) of which Alan was a founding member. 2/23/2013 - This month Alan Merrill marked Alan Merrill's birthday party at Otto's in New York City with a solo acoustic set at midnight on Feb 19th. Alan has released Volume # 4 of his "collections" series and it is now on iTunes, his solo recording realease for this year. The singer songwriter's album is titled "Songer Singwriter" and is 18 songs long, all self composed material - Here's a sample of "Heaven N Hell" from the album. Alan has also been busy with interviews like this one (click on the link) with Lady Starduzt on her show and has an article in this month's Classic Rock magazine in the UK in February about songwriting. Alan played a warm up show for his European trip in New York City at The Living Room on Ludlow street, his first show of the year on January 6th. 1/30/2013 - This month Alan Merrill made his first appearance of the year on a popular TV show in Holland, "Pop 2000" New Year's Eve, with an interview and quick performance of "I Love Rock N Roll"- He has successfully toured England and Germany this month.
