December 2016 - Out now: The 6th annual edition of Vive Le Rock magazine features a 4 page interview with Alan
Merrill by Mark McStea, who covers a lot of ground with never before known facts about Alan's 70's London based
band the Arrows and the creative dynamic of that band. Alan is also planning a tour of Japan for next April
and summer festivals all over England for 2017. As always around this time of year the Alan Merrill Trio (with Amy
Madden on bass and Mark Brotter on drums) are playing shows around New York City. They'll wind up the year playing
New Years Eve at the Sidewalk NYC rock venue at 94 avenue A, on Manhattan's lower east side at midnight.
Alan has also written and recorded a TV theme for a show in development. More information on that as the project progresses.

October-November 2016 - Alan Merrill has completed a successful tour of England Oct. 2016 to promote his
new "Demo Graphic" album with live dates and interviews on BBC radio and in print press.
Alan will be featured in the November issue of Vive Le Rock magazine with an in depth interview by
journalist Mark McStea.
As always Alan will be doing live shows in his home town New York City, with his band and solo acoustic shows.
November 15th 2016 Alan will host a special star guest artist Bob Bradbury of the chart hit British band Hello at the
Sidewalk Cafe NYC, 94 Ave A on the lower east side of Manhattan. Bob (and Corrie Shiells) will be making a cameo appearance
of the band's 70s hits including "New York Groove" and "Star Studded Sham" during the Alan Merrill band's set.
A night not to be missed for all New York Anglophile rock fans!

July 2016 - Alan Merrill is working on releasing an album of rough home made demos made in the 1970s
and '80s with some of the songs showing the transitional time period between the bands the Arrows
and Runner in 1977 with previously unreleased tracks by a mix of the bands the Arrows and Rare Bird
recorded on a 4 track Teac home tape machine and other home devices like a Fostex 8 track 1/4 inch machine
and a Revox sound on sound recorder. Included will be a song used by the Hobby Horses Company of Japan "Hobby Horses
Land" as an ad for the toy company and the original demo for the "Encyclopedia Brown" TV series (HBO) song
"Who Done It?" and "Child Of The Night" which is slated to be in the film with the working title
"Dr. West : A Reanimator Parody" out winter of 2016
and other interesting tracks. Release date will be last week of August 2016.
Alan Merrill will also be appearing on the Rew & Who show live ustream show on Wednesday July 13th and also at
the annual Troma Film Festival party at the Paperbox club in Brooklyn NY July 30th at 10 PM. He also appeared
on the "Sgt Kabukiman Cocktail Hour" Troma TV show, singing songs in both English and Japanese. Air date to
be announced.
June 2016 - The duet of 70s glam rock star vocalists Alan Merrill (Arrows) and Bob Bradbury
(Hello) is now out, released on itunes and Amazon titled "Brothers In Rock." The song has been picked up
on a lot of radio stations in the USA, the UK and Europe and the boys have done several interviews
already to promote the single. A joint tour of the UK is being discussed for early next year
by Bradbury And Merrill, also known as BAM!
Info for Americans, Bob Bradbury was the original artist on the song "New York Groove," often covered,
now a rock classic. As always the Alan Merrill Band have been playing local shows in New York City and Alan
has acoustic shows coming up this summer as well. A tour of Japan is in the works for November 2106.
It seems like the year of the duet for Alan Merrill, who has done another duet, this time in Japanese with
Bruce Bauer, his labelmate on Denon Columbia records Japan in 1971. The song is titled "Hello Japan"
and is avaiable for download on itunes and Amazon the week of Monday June 20th 2016.
This July Alan Merrill will be releasing a double album of rough home demos recorded in
the 1970s and '80s, an album that captures the energy of newly written songs.
Also Alan started acting first week of June in a new film produced and directed by Dylan Mars Greenberg,
titled "Dr. West : A Reanimator Parody" and will feature the song "Child Of The Night" written
produced and performed by Alan Merrill.
March - April - May 2016 - Back in the studio again in New York, Alan Merrill has recorded a duet with
Bob Bradbury of the British chart hit band Hello and also a duet in Japanese with Silk Taylor
(aka Bruce Bauer) both set for release sometime soon. Watch this space for more information.

the 1970s and '80s, an album that captures the energy of newly written songs. All the
songs are previously unreleased, including some transitional demos between Alan Merrill's
chart hit projects The Arrows and Runner. There should be at least 20 new songs on the CD.
Later in the year Alan will record a brand new studio album for release winter of 2016.
January - February 2016 - The Alan Merrill Band have been playing local
shows in New York City performing Alan's Arrows 1970's hits "Touch Too Much"
"My Last Night With You" and "I Love Rock N Roll" and also songs from his albums
with his Tokyo based band Vodka Collins. Speaking of Vodka Collins, the band's
"Pink Soup" album has been reissued, all compositions by Alan Merrill. It's the
20th anniverary of the album's initial release and can be bought only on CD Baby.
(beware of free pirated boolegs that are on the internet, they're a gateway
to malware viruses). Only buy from CD Baby. Alan's autobiographical book is in
the editing phase and should be out in the summer of 2016.
