Nov.-Dec. 2017 - Alan has released a new 15 song album titled "On A Blue Avenue" of all new self-composed material The album is now available at CD Baby for download, also at iTunes, Amazon and other internet outlets. Alan Merrill Band shows at The Sidewalk Cafe NYC and Lovecraft are scheduled for November and December. He will also be doing some solo acoustic shows at Ethyl's on the upper east side of Manhattan. Alan has taped an episode of the Andy Troy show Nov. 6th, being interviewed as a guest with Marge Raymond and George Cameron. He is also doing the Trevor Joe Lennon show for an interview and talking about the new album. He is also working closely with David Zucker of MyJam productions on TV, video and radio show concepts. The new film Alan has a role in, "Spirit Riser" (by director Dylan Mars Greenberg) is still in production and the lst of guest stars is growing to include Lynn Lowry, Kansas Bowling and Cherie Currie of the Runaways. A tour of England for Alan Merrill's New Arrows for December of 2017 was a success with appearances at the Islington London 02 Academy and the Half Moon rock venue on Dec. 16th & 17th with UK chart makers the Glitter Band and Hello, also the Keleigh Arts Exchange on Dec. 15th.

Sept.-Oct. 2017 - Alan is now recording a new 15 song album of all new self-composed material which should be released before the end of the year. Alan Merrill Band shows at The Sidewalk Cafe NYC, Otto's and Lovecraft are scheduled for this time frame. He will also be doing solo acoustic shows at Ethyl's on the upper east side of Manhattan on Labor Day, Oct. 3rd, 17th and 24th Also a solo acoustic show at the club Pink's in downtown Manhattan was a big success. Many more shows to come this autumn. Alan has started to work with David Zucker at his MyJam productions on a TV show featuring live and video taped music and interviews. The show is in developement now. A tour of England for Alan Merrill's New Arrows is being planned for December of 2017 with confirmed appearances at the 02 Islington Academy on Dec. 17th, also Derby N.E.M on Dec. 15th and Brighton Wagner Hall on Dec. 16th are the other UK dates so far.

May-June 2017 - The Alan Merrill Extravaganza (with Amy Madden bass and Mark Brotter drums) will be appearing in New York City around town, please see the tour dates and appearances section for more info. Alan is planning to record a new solo album over the summer which should be released before the end of the year. He has also made his first solo acoustic show of the year at "Music Under The Stars" in the Community Gardens 6th and B. Many more to come this summer. A tour of England for Alan Merrill's New Arrows is being planned for December of 2017. The film Alan acted in last year, "Reagitator" produced by Dylan Mars Greenberg will be released at last July 1st and the premiere will be at the Anthology Film Archives in Manhattan on the day of release.

March-April 2017 - The Alan Merrill Extravaganza (with Amy Madden bass and Mark Brotter drums) will be appearing in a "Concert For Monsieur" at the Tokyo Duo Exchange April 26th in Japan. Also performing will be Blind Headz, Eddie Ban (Golden Cups), The Keiko Walker Band, Mari Kaneko and more special guests. The show is a tribute to the late Hiroshi "Monsieur" Kamayatsu who was a founding member of the band Vodka Collins with Alan Merrill. He will also make an appearance at Thumbs Up in Yokohama backed by all star Japanese musicicans April 30th. Alan will be performing at Japan Day 2017 at the bandshell in central park NYC May 14th with his band. A tour of England for Alan Merrill's New Arrows is being planned for November of 2017. January-February 2017 - Alan Merrill's album "Cupid Deranged (Redux)" is out Valentine's Day Feb 14 2017 remixed and remasterd by Jon Gordon at his stuio in the Shelter Island complex in midtown Manhattan NYC. Alan will be taping the Donna Drake TV show (CBS) February 6th, air date to be announced.
